As is already known, HC SLOVAN Bratislava will have a new mascot for the 2013/2014 season.
Even YOU can have a hand in deciding the name for our new mascot, who will entertain fans at the SLOVNAFT Arena during home games in the coming KHL season. After we have selected the best five entries from the first phase of submissions, you – our fans – will vote for the winner. As a reward, the person who thinks up the winning name will receive a season ticket for the 2013/2014 season!
Slovan has entrusted the creation of the new mascot’s costume to a Canadian firm, Création Animation Mascottes. The company, based in Quebec, specializes exclusively in the design, production, animation and training of mascots, and employs over eighty professional animators.
The look and feel of the mascot, who will make its debut on September 17th, at the game against Torpedo Novgorod, will be based on the eagle - specifically the white-tailed eagle - which has been the predominant image of the Bratislava club’s logo since the year 2000.
