The Slovak team are out of the World Championship after a 3:4 defeat to Finland. Three Slovan players scored points in the dramatic, ultimately unsuccessful, quarter-final match.
The Slovaks managed to claw back a three goal deficit, but after going behind again half-way through the final period, they could not find the net, with 3:4 the final result. In the comeback, Slovan’s Michel Miklík scored one goal, while assists came from Libor Hudáček and Roman Kukumberg. The latter, with a total of seven points, was Slovakia’s most productive player of the championship.
