Slovan Play in Purple to Raise Awareness for Cancer Patients

On the home game against Dina Riga Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 19:00 h enroll "Belasí" in special purple shirt that has officially approved the leadership KHL. 

All around the world, purple color is generally used in campaigns to raise awareness on cancer and represents hope for all cancer survivors. In last year's season, Slovan played in purple jerseys a memorable match on December 8, 2013 against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. The date of this year's "Slovan Fights Cancer" game has not been chosen randomly. The initiative of UICC (Union for International Cancer Control) is followed by more than 120 countries.

Last year, thanks to a generous auction of purple jerseys donated HC SLOVAN were able to donate 10,000 euros for the Association for Support of the Children's Oncology. This year, the yield from ticket purchase as well as limited edition of game-worn purple jerseys will be once again donated to maximise quality of life and achieve treatment for all child cancer patients at the Department of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, as well as the reconstruction of the premises of pediatric surgery at Children's University Hospital at Bratislava Kramare where children from all over Slovakia are treated.
