After a break of almost five months, Slovan take to the ice once again. Today sees the start of team training for the coming season.
This morning, head Trainer Rostislav Čada, along with assistants Roman Stantien and Pavol Rybár, greeted all the players in the changing room. Only Daňo and Šatan have yet to join the squad which started training today. The young forward is set to join the team on July 17th, while Šatan’s future is to be decided by July 25th.
The Slovan team will train three times a day. In the morning a 45-minute dry warm-up awaits the players – weights, strength training – followed by two hours on the ice. In the afternoon there will be a 90-minute training session. This will be the routine until the end of July, regardless of whether there is also a match on that day.
The first warm-up match takes place on July 25th, when we travel to the Czech capital to face Slavia Praha.
