Rostislav Čada is no longer head coach of HC SLOVAN Bratislava.
On Thursday evening, HC SLOVAN Bratislava head coach Rostislav Čada submitted a request to the club management for an early release from his contract. After the meeting that followed, the management agreed to the request, and the parties reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
In the upcoming home game against CSKA Moscow on Saturday, Sept. 20th, coaching duties will be covered by the temporary team of Vladimír Országh and Ján Lipiansky, who will lead Friday's training session and Saturday morning's skating. HC SLOVAN Bratislava management will announce the name of the new head coach in the near future.
Rostislav Čada was head coach of the HC SLOVAN Bratislava A team from Spring 2012. He led the team through two full KHL seasons, as well as two editions of the European Trophy, reaching the final tournament in Bratislava in 2012. He oversaw a total of 118 competitive games in the KHL for Slovan - 112 in the regular season, four in the Western Conference playoff quarter-finals (2013), and two in the Cup of Hope (2014). His record was 55 wins and 63 defeats.
HC SLOVAN Bratislava thanks Rostislav Čada for the honesty and responsibility he showed in his near 29-month tenure here at our club, and we wish him every future success and much contentment in work and life.
