Twenty-one year old forward Andrej Kudrna broke his KHL duck on Tuesday, firing a wicked backhand past Michael Garnett to make it 2:0 at the time
After the first goal by Michel Miklik in the opening period, young forward Andrej Kudrna’s backhand tally in the second period was a key marker in HC SLOVAN’s victory over Traktor Chelyabinsk. Kudrna, who has split the season between HC SLOVAN and HK 36 Skalica in the Slovak Extraliga, tallied his first KHL marker in his ninth game with HC SLOVAN. After the game, he said, “Well, it’s finally behind me and I’m glad I helped the team to victory. It was an important two points and it was good we won. It’s a great opportunity to get so much ice time and I am grateful to the coach for that”. Kudrna, who claimed in the post-match interview that this goal was the most important of his career so far. We hope that he is able to contribute many more important goals in his HC SLOVAN career.
