Two Czech players put an end to their time at HC SLOVAN Bratislava.
Tomáš Netík (b. 1982) came to Slovan before Summer training began, arriving from Russia’s Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. Despite taking time to acclimatize, the quick forward has had an outstanding last two months, his eleven goals making him the most prolific scorer in our team. His good form did not go unnoticed by the richer Russian clubs, however, and he received several lucrative offers. Netík elected to make use of the clause in his contract which ensured Slovan would not stand in his way. “I hope the fans will understand my decision – I got an offer which comes maybe once in a lifetime,” said Netík at the end of his Slovan sojourn. “I’ll have only good memories of my time at Slovan.”
The second Czech leaving Slovan’s ranks is Zdeňek Kutlák. The 33-year-old has come to a mutual agreement with the club to terminate his contract. The defenseman from České Budejovice played thirty games in the eagle-crested jersey, notching up three assists.
HC SLOVAN Bratislava is thankful to both players for their quality performances and wishes them all the best in their future endeavours.
