Disappointment for HC SLOVAN Bratislava's netminder, who lost out on his fifth shutout of the season with 33 seconds to go.
“We did not play our hockey, I think it was a very bad game, for us and the fans. Against such an opponent we have to play much better. It proves that every opponent in the KHL is a challenge”. The words of HC SLOVAN Bratislava netminder Jaroslav Janus, who was disappointed following the game to lose out on a shutout. Compatriot Rastislav Špirko popped up with 33 seconds left while opponent Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg had pulled the netminder, to fire a quick shot past Janus. “What can be done, we have to be careful. If we only had a one goal lead we would have lost points. I do not know Špirko personally but he hit it well”. After this disappointment, Janus remains to his credit with four shutouts on record so far this season, three of them away from home. He is only one behind the current KHL leader Vasili Koshechkin of Severstal Cherepovets.
