HC SLOVAN Bratislava have agreed with mutual consent the release from the players' contracts of forward Vladimir Dravecký and netminder Ville Hostikka.
Vladimir Dravecký (27) played a total of 31 matches for HC SLOVAN, lacing up the skates eight times in the European Trophy and 23 times in the KHL. In both competitions he put up figures of two goals and six assists. During his stint with HC SLOVAN, he cannot be faulted for his effort and industry, but he struggled to cement his position on HC SLOVAN’s first three lines.
Ville Hostikka (27) came to HC SLOVAN in the middle of June from Kärpät Oulun in Finland. Together with Branislav Konrád, Hostikka was pencilled in to create a high quality and balanced pair of netminders for the rigours of the KHL. However, upon arrival of Jaroslav Janus, Ville despite his efforts in training failed to leapfrog the other two netminders, leaving the Finnish netminder with a lack of playing time. Therefore HC SLOVAN Bratislava will allow Hostikka to leave the club and find a new team.
HC SLOVAN Bratislava thanks Vladimir Dravecký and Ville Hostikka for their work for the club, and wishes them luck and success in their future career.
