HC SLOVAN Bratislava can announce that they have agreed a five year contract extension with head coach Rostislav Čada, which will run until 30th April 2018.
The somewhat unusual length of the contract between HC SLOVAN Bratislava and head coach Rostislav Čada highlights the good relationship between the two parties, and the aim to build on the good results so far this season.
Čada has guided HC SLOVAN through pre-season and into the club’s inaugural season in the KHL, and the performance of the side until his supervision has gone beyond the expectations of many experts and fans. HC SLOVAN currently sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference and is three games away from securing a place in the Gagarin Cup Playoffs. The aim of the club this season was to make the playoffs, and thanks to the disciplined style instilled by Čada, and the emphasis on solid, defensive hockey, HC SLOVAN has beaten nearly all-comers this season.
‘We are only one step away from success, and we believe that with this contract, head-coach Rostislav Čada can use this time to create a five-year era in HC SLOVAN, in a similar fashion to the way of Sir Alex Ferguson’, said general manager Maroš Krajči.
The five year contract should give Čada even greater scope for creating a dynasty with HC SLOVAN, where a regular challenge for the Gagarin Cup is an aim. The original agreement between HC SLOVAN Bratislava and the Brno native was due to run out in April this year.
