HC SLOVAN attacker claims that Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg posed one of the toughest tests in the KHL so far this season.
Despite being at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference, HC SLOVAN struggled for two periods against a tough and resilient Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg side. “It was a very difficult match, I think they were one of the toughest opponents you can face. They moved very well and they attacked well in the first two periods, and they were causing us major problems. In the third period we improved our skating and the goals came, and it was a good victory for us”. These words of quick winger Milan Bartovič sum up well a frustrating but eventually successful night for HC SLOVAN, whose quest for a playoff spot in their inaugural KHL season continue. Bartovič crowned the night by scoring an empty net goal, his fourth goal of the season with four seconds to go in the third period to secure the three points.
